A NORTHWOODS RETREAT
DATES TO BE ARRANGED IN MERCER, WI
Indulge yourself with a relaxing week or long weekend at the Dybdahl’s quintessential northwoods log home! Built in 1904, this lakeside retreat offers a perfect getaway for summer activities such as swimming, boating or golfing. If you prefer a winter vacation, cross country and downhill skiing are available nearby. Gather a group (up to 6 adults) and head for this beautiful 3-bedroom home just north of Mercer, Wisconsin. Call Audrey at 608-233-5124 for details. Interview required. Menu: Of your choosing—a complete modern kitchen for your use, or many Northwoods restaurants nearby. Your hosts Phil and Audrey Dybdahl will not be present during your stay. Option 1: 4 days, 3 nights is $1500 ( $600 tax-deductible). Option 2: one week is $2500 ($900 tax-deductible). A family option is available.

SAT MARCH 10, 2012 AT 3 PM AT OVERTURE CENTER FOR THE ARTS
Don’t miss this exclusive tour designed for the architectural photographer in you! Photographer Jim Post of The Camera Company will lead this tour of the Overture Center for shutter bugs and shutter bug “wanna be's.” This is your chance to get tips on shot selection, lighting, and exposures from an expert while exploring this state of the art cultural showpiece designed by internationally famous architect Cesar Pelli. The tour will include all areas open to the public as well as a rare photo op in Overture Hall and possibly the Capital Theater. You'll meet your hosts Jane and David Villa in the Rotunda. Bring your own cameras, flash equipment, etc. $20 per person. Limited to 12 guests.

EXPERIENCE HOW HATS INFLUENCE HISTORY . . .AND VICE VERSA

Does the hat make the woman or does the woman make the hat? Leslie Bellais, Curator of Costume & Textiles at the Wisconsin Historical Society, will engage you with her perspective on the significance of hats in women’s lives and the reasons hat styles have changed with the times. She will illustrate her presentation with hats from the Society’s collection and reproductions for audience members to model. Afterwards we will have the opportunity to try on marvelous vintage hats from a private collection and enjoy a luscious luncheon. Your hosts are Jane and David Villa. With or without a hat and white gloves, come to have fun! $35 per person ($15 tax-deductible). Limited to 35 guests.

SOLD OUT: WISCONSIN INSTITUTES FOR DISCOVERY: BEHIND THE SCENES WITH JOHN WILEY
SAT APRIL 7, 2012 FROM 4 TO 7 PM AT 1300 UNIVERSITY AVE.
Former UW Madison Chancellor John Wiley will lead us on a tour of the recently opened (2010) Institutes for Discovery, including secure areas of both the privately funded Morgridge Institute for Research and the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery. A research physicist himself, John has been involved with the Institutes from the early planning stages and will share his knowledge and insights regarding how they will contribute to the advancement of science and the strength of our community. Following the tour, we will gather at Steenbock’s on Orchard, the Institute's gourmet restaurant, for discussion and refreshments. The menu includes a selection of hors d'oeuvres by Chef Michael Pruett. There will be a cash bar.

ROAD RALLY
SUN APRIL 29, 2012 AT 1 PM
Test your ability to trust your navigator as you set out into the country without a map! Rules and instructions will be handed out at the start of the Rally. Prizes will be awarded to the teams that show the best skills at following directions, finding clues, and arriving at the finish line in the required amount of time. You may bring one or two “backseat drivers.” Snacks will be provided along the way, and you'll meet your hosts for a scrumptious meal and libations when you arrive at the finish line! Starting point will be revealed to participants in the week prior to the rally. $100 per car with 2-4 people per car ($50 per car tax-deductible). Limited to 10 cars.

AN EVENING FOR ART LOVERS
TUES JUNE 5, 2012 AT 6 PM
Long time art collectors Babe and Marv Conney invite you into their home to enjoy the extensive art collection they have gathered over the years. Peter Lundberg of Janus Galleries will give a short talk about art followed by an opportunity to ask questions. A sumptuous buffet supper will bring this delightful evening to a close. $65 per person ($25 tax-deductible). Limited to 35 guests.

GARDEN PARTY
SAT JUNE 9, 2012 FROM 11 AM TO 1 PM
Come enjoy a spring brunch at a unique Shorewood Hills home surrounded by historic 1930’s naturalistic landscaping designed in the Franz Aust tradition. Relax in the majestic spruce and pine grove and wander along the original stone paths through traditional perennial and peony gardens. You’ll be enchanted by the sight and sound of water tumbling into the delightful reflecting pool. Restored in 2008 by Steven G. Ziegler of ZDA and Tibi Light of Fine Gardening, this historic gem is a wonderful place to eat, enjoy, and visit. You'll enjoy brunch in the spring garden with your hosts Lydie and Joe Hudson. $35 per person ($15 tax-deductible). Limited to 25 guests.

DATE TO BE ARRANGED FOR SUMMER 2012 AT SKIPPER BUD'S MARINA, WESTPORT
Bring along your friends, your appetite and your camera for a late afternoon cruise on Lake Mendota. After a leisurely tour of Madison’s beautiful downtown from the water, we will drop anchor and dinner will be served as the sun sets over the lake. The finale of this idyllic evening will be dessert by moonlight as we return to the pier. The private boat is fully equipped with a head and a galley and can be enclosed with canvas and screens if needed. The menu includes Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while cruising and a grilled entrée at anchor with dessert and coffee on our return to the pier. Don’t rent a tux! Don’t hire a babysitter! Stay home, relax, and let your imagination take over. The menu can include any or all of your favorite foods with beverages of your choice. Your hosts are just you and yours, the location is your choice again! Dress is casual and pajamas and slippers are okay. There is no limit to the number of guests you can invite or not invite and the cost is a tax-deductible contribution of your choice to benefit the MSO's Education and Community Engagement Programs!
