Welcome to a brand new season of the MSOL's hugely popular Parties of Note. The MSOL's innovative party series combines the best of all possible worlds to raise funds for the MSO's nationally recognized Education and Community Engagement Programs.
Please call Evelyn Jennings at 608.836.0619 or ejennings@charter.net to make reservations or request a Party Passport. You may make reservations for as many events as you wish. All parties are limited in the number of guests and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The deadline for reservations is two weeks prior to the date of the event except where noted. Early reservations are highly recommended. Payment by check, Master Card or Visa must accompany your reservation and is non-refundable.

Ann Lindsey and Chuck Snowdon invite you to spend a delightful evening with some of the top performers of the Madison Symphony Orchestra. Concertmaster Tyrone Greive, cellist Janet Greive, and several other Madison Symphony Orchestra musicians will join us for cocktails and dinner in a lovely, intimate setting. Mingle with the MSO stars during cocktails and share sparkling conversation (musical and non-musical) over a sit-down dinner catered by one of Madison’s finest chefs. Share the fond impressions of an American stationed during 1966 and 67 in an Asian land with an ancient history, but emerging postwar as a “developing” nation. You hosts Kennedy Gilchrist and Heidi Wilde provide images of Korean life from forty-two years ago that are rarely obtainable in the modern South Korea of today. The menu features authentic Korean cuisine, including Kim Chi if you dare! Limited to 8 guests. $75 per person, $25 is tax-deductible.
Murder at the Symphony

There is murder in the air, or should we say on the ground? Your hosts Elaine and Nick Mischler invite you to come in character and meet fellow party-goers over cocktails as you wait for the murder plot to unfold. Collect your clues as you dine with all the suspects (yourself included). After dinner the dastardly deed will be solved in the drawing room with Inspector “Bach” at your service. Wine, aperitifs, hors d'oeuvres, dinner dessert and coffee are included. Find out who your character is when you register! Limited to 24 guests. $80 per person, $40 is tax-deductible.
Run for the Roses

Sip a mint julep and feel the excitement as you mingle with other guests awaiting the start of the 136th running of the Kentucky Derby. Cheer on your favorite horse and enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner in this beautiful setting overlooking Lake Mendota with your hosts Nona Hill and Clark Johnson. Salon Piano Extravaganza

Hear Armenian-born concert pianist Raffi Besalyan in a salon setting with your hosts
Tim and Renee Farley. As a winner of the Artists International Competition, Besalyan is actively performing in Japan as well as North America and Europe. Bring along your friends, your appetite and your camera for a late afternoon cruise on Lake Mendota with your hosts Joel and Kathy Belaire. After a leisurely tour of Madison’s beautiful downtown from the water, we will drop anchor and dinner will be served as the sun sets over the lake. The finale of this idyllic evening will be dessert by moonlight as we return to the pier. The boat is fully equipped with a head and a galley and can be enclosed with canvas and screens if needed. The menu includes cocktails and hors d'oeuvres while cruising, a grilled entree at anchor with dessert and coffee on our return to the pier. Dress is yachting casual. Historic Tour of Lake Monona

Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with your hosts Clare & Mike McArdle and Nancy & Ed Young aboard the Young’s pontoon while cruising Lake Monona. Madison historian David Mollenhoff will be on board to point out historic places of interest and to regale you with tales from Madison’s past.
