The MSO is fortunate to have a highly dedicated volunteer organization, the Madison Symphony
Orchestra League, to help support the artistic, educational and financial goals
of the orchestra. In 2006, the MSOL celebrated 50 years of service to the
Symphony. Over the years, the League has made significant financial
contributions as well as contributions of time and talent to further the MSO's
mission of bringing great music to the community.
The more than 300 MSOL
volunteers are instrumental to the MSO's success, and new members are always
welcome. For annual dues of $35 for an individual or $45 for a household or
a $350 lifetime membership, you can...
- Meet and socialize with others who share your enjoyment of music
- Educate future audiences through the youth docent program
- Get closer to the music through exclusive concert preview events
- Help support the MSO with your unique talents (for example, event planning,
public relations, graphic design, fundraising, etc.)
The MSOL presents many social, educational and
fundraising events throughout the year, including:
- Concert on the Green
- Hilldale Holiday Tree Walk
- Bridge Marathon
- Fashion Show
- Symphony Showhouse
- Member luncheons and concert previews featuring distinguished presenters
MSOL volunteers also assist with general office
duties, including mailings, phone calling, event assistance, and other fun and
rewarding tasks.
